Thank you very much for your interest in speaking at DevFest Medan 2024! This year's DevFest event is jointly organized by GDG Medan and WTM Medan, and it will be an in-person event. We are currently accepting proposals for hands-on workshops and speaking sessions.

We aim to make this year's DevFest Medan an exciting and inspiring event filled with insightful discussions, diverse speaker line-ups, and engaging workshops on various topics, especially Google technologies.

Please complete the Sessionize form to submit a talk (30-45 minutes + 10 mins Q&A), a workshop (1 to 1.5 hours), or both. You may also submit the form multiple times if you have several topics; we’ll pick those that best fit the event. If you wish to use a different format, mention it in the form, and we’ll discuss it further.

Leaders Panel at DevFest Medan 2024

The Leaders Panel sessions will be 20-minute talks, focusing on insights and real-world experiences without a Q&A session.

In addition to talks and workshops, we are excited to host a Leaders Panel aimed at Empowering Local Developers. We’re inviting CEOs, CTOs, and experienced tech leaders to join this panel to discuss key topics, such as:

1. Success Stories in Technology: Overcoming technical challenges and scaling amidst growth.
2. Building and Managing Resilient Teams: Strategies for recruiting and retaining top talent.
3. Emerging Technology Trends: Insights on AI, cloud, and data security.
4. Etc, topics suggestion for Leaders Panel can access here. 

If you’re interested in participating in the Leaders Panel, please specify it in your submission. Panelists will have the opportunity to share real-world experiences, connect with Medan’s tech community, and inspire attendees on their career and innovation journeys.

Deadlines:

• Nov 28 – Call for Proposals closes at 12:00 AM WIB
• Nov 28 – Shortlisted speakers notified via email (proposals reviewed on a rolling basis since Sept 2)
• Nov 29 – Final slide submission deadline

Additional Information:

• Language: Talks can be delivered in English or Bahasa (Indonesia)
• Audience: Tech developers, engineers, data scientists, and more
• Travel: Local travel expenses are covered for main speakers, but not for leaders panel speakers (e.g., transportation from your stay/hotel within Medan to the venue)
