DevFest is an annual global decentralised tech conference organised by Google Developer Groups (GDGs) that offers a mix of talks, hands-on sessions, workshops, and a deep dive into the latest from Google and the world of open source.
DevFest Osogbo promises to be an engaging and educational event for tech enthusiasts of all backgrounds. This one-day festival brings together software developers, designers, product managers, cybersecurity experts, and more, all united by a passion for technology, technical learning, and Google products. It’s an ideal setting for networking with like-minded individuals and expanding technical skills.

Sessions should be forward-thinking and stimulate discussion and engagement with attendees. Our goal is to provide balanced workshops that meet the variety of interests of conference attendees. We aim to provide specific, action-item-focused sessions that provide attendees with the knowledge they can take back and apply to their own jobs and daily lives. We expect 1000+ attendees from across the country to participate in DevFest.

How to Submit a Proposal
Step 1: Complete the online Proposal Form.
Step 2: Qualify
Step 3: Selection is based on meeting the session or workshop needs defined by the Speaker Engagement Committee and the speakers' qualifications to present on the proposed subject matter. All proposals will be reviewed by the Speaker Engagement Committee. Decisions will be made, and notifications will be e-mailed no later than December 14, 2024.
Our goal is to provide balanced workshops that meet the interests of a variety of conference attendees. Please keep in mind that the conference sessions and workshops must be issue-oriented and content-rich. Workshops may not be used to sell products and services.
Step 4: If your proposal is selected, you will be promoted on the official conference website and other social media platforms. You will gain valuable professional exposure and networking opportunities.
