🇬🇧 DevFest Rome is a tech conference organized by GDG Roma Città, an event built by the community, for the community, where professionals, students, and enthusiasts come together to bring a true celebration of technology to life.

This year, we have the great pleasure of being hosted by Università degli Studi Roma Tre for an edition that aims to gather over 500+ attendees across three simultaneous tracks.

Quest'anno abbiamo il grande piacere di essere ospitati dall'Università degli Studi Roma Tre per un'edizione che punta a radunare oltre 500+ partecipanti sviluppandosi su tre tracce simultanee.

 🇬🇧 Call for Papers: DevFest Roma 2026 🇬🇧

DevFest Roma 2026 shines a spotlight on the new challenges for developers with this year theme:
Build, Secure, Scale: Developers and Builders in the Agentic Era

The era of AI Agents is here and it is fundamentally changing how we design, secure, and scale software. For this edition, we are looking for talks that deep dive into:
  • Professional evolution: how the role of the developer is evolving in this new era;
  • Integration and development: how to practically implement agents within real world production systems;
  • Security and reliability: how to protect data and ensure the correct behavior of agentic workflows;
  • Scalability: how to manage infrastructure and scale architectures driven entirely by artificial intelligence.

Talks on other technological topics, soft skills, and career paths are absolutely welcome.
You can submit proposals under the following tracks:
  • AI / ML: GenAI, Agentic Workflows, LLM Ops;
  • Architecture: Design Patterns, Microservices, Clean Architecture;
  • Backend: API design, Databases, server side performance;
  • Cloud: Serverless, Multi Cloud strategies, FinOps;
  • Devops: CI/CD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code;
  • Frontend: Modern frameworks, Web Performance, Accessibility;
  • Softskill: Public speaking, Technical Leadership, Agile methodologies;
  • Other: Mobile (Android/Flutter), Cybersecurity, IoT, and real world success or failure stories.

📌 Speaker Guidelines

Our target audience this year consists of a strong presence of both university students and industry professionals. We are looking for valuable content capable of inspiring both students and professionals within a community driven event where there is no room for product pitches or marketing stunts, but only for code, architectures, and real stories to learn from together.

✈️ Logistics Notes

DevFest is a non profit event run entirely by volunteers. At this time, we cannot cover travel and accommodation expenses, so we kindly ask speakers to plan accordingly before submitting their proposal.

However, we do guarantee maximum support, a fantastic speaker dinner, and exclusive event swag! ✨

La DevFest Roma 2026 accende i riflettori sulle nuove sfide degli sviluppatori con il tema:
"Build, Secure, Scale: Developers and Builders in the Agentic Era"

L'era degli Agenti AI è iniziata e sta trasformando radicalmente il modo in cui progettiamo, proteggiamo e scaliamo il software. Per questa edizione, cerchiamo talk che approfondiscano:
  • Evoluzione professionale: come la figura dello sviluppatore stia evolvendo in questa nuova era;
  • Integrazione e sviluppo: come implementare concretamente gli agenti all'interno di sistemi di produzione reali;
  • Sicurezza e affidabilità: come proteggere i dati e garantire il corretto comportamento dei flussi agentici;
  • Scalabilità: come gestire l'infrastruttura e far scalare architetture interamente guidate dall'intelligenza artificiale.


Sono ben accetti talk anche su altri temi tecnologici, softskills e percorsi di carriera.
Puoi candidare proposte su un’ampia varietà di argomenti, suddivisi nelle seguenti categorie:

📌 Linee guida per i candidati

Il target di quest'anno è composto da una buona parte di studenti universitari e professionisti del settore. Cerchiamo quindi contenuti di valore che possano ispirare ed essere utili a entrambe le anime del nostro pubblico.

✈️ Note logistiche

La DevFest è un evento no-profit organizzato interamente da volontari. Al momento non possiamo coprire le spese di viaggio e alloggio, chiediamo quindi agli speaker di regolarsi di conseguenza prima di inviare la proposta.

Garantiamo però massimo supporto, una fantastica cena per gli speakers ed esclusivo merchandising dell'evento! ✨
