GDG DevFest 2020 season is here!
This is a series of community-led events, where you can learn the essentials and best practices of various Google technologies and products: Android, Web, Google Cloud Platform and more.
This is the third edition of our successful conference, previously held in Johannesburg and Cape Town. This year we are aiming to replicate its success online!
We are primarily interested in the following topics, and will have the following tracks:
- Mobile (Android/Flutter)
- Web
- Beyond (Google Cloud Platform, Google Assistant, AI, ML, IoT, "soft" and other skills for developers etc.)
We are interested in experience-based talks. We will not accept proposals that are:
🚫 Just repeating documentation without your experience/lessons learned
🚫 Pitching/selling a company or a product. It's OK to mention your company, but it shouldn't be the main focus
🚫 Recruitment talks to attract talent
For first-time and inexperienced speakers, we have created a "Rising star lightning talk" session type. The format of the talk is 15-20 minutes in length. These speakers will be mentored by experienced speakers to ensure they are successful.Â
The format of regular sessions is 40 min in length, talks with two co-speakers are also welcome.
All sessions must be presented in English.
