DevFest 2024 is coming! 


DevFest is a global developer conference hosted by Google Developer Groups (GDGs) worldwide. These community-organized events focus on learning, building, and connecting with fellow developers and tech practitioners. They offer a variety of activities, including technical talks, workshops, and networking opportunities. 

This year we’ll be introducing a theme to DevFest - Responsible AI. We invite communities to explore the possibilities and discuss how we can build and use AI in a fair, ethical, and responsible way.

Session Formats

  • Workshops (45 minutes): Solve AI challenges through collaboration.
  • Panel Discussions (45 minutes) : The Ethical Dilemma: Balancing Innovation with Integrity in AI (We will provide the moderator for this engaging discussion, and we encourage you to bring two co-panelists to join the conversation. This platform also allows you to submit session details for them.)
  • Tech Demos (20 minutes): Showcase AI innovations in action
  • Tech Talks (30 minutes): Share insights on AI's technical evolution.
  • Lightning Talk (5min) - Sessions designed for speakers to give a quickfire view of a particular subject
  • Unplugged Stories (15 minutes): Share your personal or organizational journey in AI without the use of slides. Narrate the challenges, successes, and lessons learned in a format that encourages storytelling and personal connection.

Feel free to propose additional AI topics for consideration.

Submit detailed abstracts focusing on innovative proposals that advance AI discussions. We encourage your submissions to outline the presentation's scope and provide actionable insights. Including three key takeaways for immediate value and growth is recommended. While we welcome diverse voices, due to constraints, only select submissions will be chosen. We appreciate your contributions in shaping a conference that is both technologically enlightening and socially responsible.
