DevFest, the largest decentralized developer conference, transcends beyond a regular meetup to offer a rich array of activities including, but not limited to, insightful talks, hands-on demos, and highly interactive workshops. The agenda is specifically crafted to cater to the interests and needs of the vibrant local developer communities, providing an enriched learning experience and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
In 2022, DevFest Waterloo was a resounding success with 250 in-person attendees and over 10,000 live viewers. This year, we aim to elevate the experience even further, bringing together 1,000+ experts, enthusiasts, and learners to navigate the intricate landscape of AI, exploring topics from predictive analytics to real-world integration of AI technologies.

DevFest Waterloo 2023 is now accepting speaker proposals! We are seeking passionate individuals who are eager to share their knowledge and expertise in the field of AI. If you are working on something exciting and are keen on presenting it to a diverse and vibrant community, we encourage you to submit your proposal.
Speaker Submission Conditions
- Relevance to the Theme: All submissions must align with the event theme: "AI in Action: From Prediction to Integration"
- Original Content: We value original and fresh content. Submissions should be of unpublished work, showcasing innovative ideas and insights.
- Inclusivity and Respect: DevFest is dedicated to providing a respectful and inclusive environment. All presentations should adhere to this principle, promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Presentation Duration: Proposed sessions should be designed to fit within 30 to 40-minute window, including a Q&A session.
- Submission Materials: Along with your proposal, please include a brief biography, and a high-resolution headshot.
- Deadline: All proposals must be submitted by September 30, 2023.
- Speaker Benefits: Selected speakers will be provided with travel and accommodation.
