This year, GDG Harare is aiming to host the biggest DevFest we’ve ever held — and to make it the largest tech festival in Zimbabwe.
DevFest 25 Harare will gather developers, startups, educators, enterprises, and students for a day of inspiration, learning, and collaboration. As part of the global Google DevFest series, our event will connect Zimbabwe’s tech community to cutting-edge tools, ideas, and practices shaping the future.

Who Can Apply?
By submitting a proposal and/or speaking at DevFest 25 Harare, you agree to the following:
1. Content & Relevance
Talks must be educational, technical, or inspirational in nature.
No direct product pitches, marketing, or sales-oriented presentations will be accepted. (Demos must focus on learning outcomes, not promotion.)
Sessions should align with DevFest’s 2025 theme: “Building Safe, Secure and Scalable Solutions with AI and Cloud.”
2. Community Values
Speakers must uphold GDG values of inclusivity, diversity, respect, and collaboration.
Harassment, discrimination, or offensive content (visual or verbal) will not be tolerated.
3. Logistics
Speaking is voluntary. No honoraria or speaker fees will be provided.
Travel, accommodation, and related expenses are the responsibility of the speaker (unless otherwise communicated by organizers).
Sessions are delivered in English.
Talks may be recorded, photographed, and shared publicly (YouTube, GDG channels, community platforms). By participating, you grant organizers the right to share your session content.
4. Session Quality & Timelines
Speakers must respect allocated time slots (Lightning Talks, Standard Talks, or Workshops).
Presentation slides/materials should be submitted at least 1 week before the event for review.
Speakers agree to participate in any required briefing or dry-run session to ensure smooth delivery.
5. Intellectual Property
Speakers must ensure that content, images, code, or demos used in their session do not infringe copyrights or IP rights.
If sharing third-party resources, proper attribution is required.
6. Cancellation & Backup
If unable to attend, speakers should notify organizers immediately so a replacement or backup can be arranged.
Organizers reserve the right to reschedule or reassign sessions in case of unexpected changes.

All participants, including speakers, must adhere to the GDG Code of Conduct:
