Google Developer Groups is a community for tech enthusiasts and developers to connect, learn and grow.

DevFest is a global annual tech conference hosted by the Google Developer Groups (GDG) community. Each DevFest event is crafted by its local organizers to fit the needs and interests of their local developer community.

DevFests are a great way to learn about new technologies, meet other developers, and get involved in the Google developer community. They are also a lot of fun!

  • Hands-on workshops and codelabs
  • Networking opportunities with other developers
  • Fun and engaging activities

DevFest has been hosted in Lebanon since 2017, and in 2022 was held in Beirut and Tripoli and in the same month for the first time, reaching a total of 900+ attendees.

The approximate number of participants is 600+ in Beirut and featuring different tracks for attendees to choose from.

For the upcoming DevFest event, we expect submitted sessions to be relevant to the tech community and align with the event's theme. Acceptable session formats include technical talks, workshops, panel discussions, lightning talks, and case studies. We encourage a diverse range of topics and expertise levels, targeting developers, designers, students, and professionals. Sessions should be engaging, interactive, and offer practical takeaways for attendees. We prioritize diversity and inclusion in speaker selection and seek original content that complies with ethical guidelines. By setting these clear expectations, we aim to deliver a high-quality program that enriches the experience for all participants and fosters learning and collaboration within the tech community.
