GDG DevFest 2022 is our annual all-day developer conference that offers speaker sessions across multiple product areas, codelabs, hackathon and more! After a successful GDG Southern Africa 2019, we wanted to bring back the fire, especially now, after easing of movements due to CoVID-19, now more than ever, developers would love to meet again in-person and collaborate.
We are expecting developers, designers and entrepreneurs from all over Southern Africa, along with some Googlers and Google Developer experts in the area.

DevFest Southern Africa 2019 and we are looking for speakers and app demos.
Topics for this year:
- Android: Kotlin, Android Jetpack, Android Things, App Bundle, Testing, Code Coverage
- Flutter: Dart for Android Developers, Building a Flutter Application
-Firebase: Firestore, Fabric + Firebase,
- Machine learning
- Women Techmakers
- Diversity and Inclusion
You can submit your content in English and here are your options:
● Conference talks are 30 min presentations
● Codelabs - 45 min hands-on demonstrating a programming tool
● Barcamp - 5 min presentation - interactive session where the audience get the chance to show more about their products, apps and innovative idea.
You can submit as many talks as you want.
