Welcome to droidcon Italy 2023!

We're excited to be opening the Call for Papers for this 2022 edition - a great opportunity to learn, share and network in Android in a global, interactive environment. 

We are actively seeking a fresh and diverse line up of speakers and topics. Please do your part to spread the word and let everyone know that Call for Papers is open.

Selection process

Proposals will be filtered and shortlisted by the droidcon Italy Call for Papers Committee. Help the Committee! 

- Add links to videos and slides of your past talks so that they can take your experience into account.

- Provide them with blog posts or papers on the importance of your topic, how it's being tackled, what the opportunities are and more, so that they can thoroughly assess your application.

Call for Papers deadline: 13 August 2022

Conference dates: 6 - 7 October 2022


Important notes

Original talks (not previously presented at other conferences) will be given priority.

Speakers are invited in presence in Turin. No remote speeches are allowed.

Proposals can be modified by the owner at any time — although kindly let the organisers know any time you do modify your session(s) or data after the Call for Papers has ended.

It's possible to submit your proposal publicly or privately. In case of private submission, only the staff can see it until the conference schedule is posted.

Your abstract

  • Make sure it clearly and concisely communicates your idea (~1000 characters if possible).
  • Original talks (not previously presented at any other conferences) will be given priority, please let us know if this is a new talk.
  • Make sure your abstract makes the value your talk obvious for the Committee and for the audience; be relevant to the audience of Android developers.
  • Describe who specifically your talk is addressing.
  • Define an approx. length of your presentation
  • Tell us how innovative your topic is — what is new and exciting!
  • Outline what the audience will learn and takeaway from your presentation.

Please note, the conference language is English.
