Dublin Maker Returns THIS SUMMER - Ireland's biggest Maker Festival - A free event celebrating creativity, innovation and community.
Dublin Maker is a free to attend, community run event, which will be held in Leopardstown Racecourse on Saturday 22nd (10am - 5pm) & Sunday 23rd (10am - 5pm) of August 2026.
Dublin Maker takes the form of a “show and tell” experience where inventors/makers sourced through an open call, will have an opportunity to showcase their creations in a carnival atmosphere. It is a family friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making and share what they are learning.
Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds, coming from all over Ireland and beyond. Dublin Maker’s mission is to entertain, inform and connect the makers of Ireland, while inspiring the next generation of Ireland’s makers and inventors.

Don't worry about finesse, don't worry about polish! If your project looks like its been thrown together in the garden shed so much the better. We love that! Check out our website www.dublinmaker.ie to see what sorts of ideas we have seen in previous years when we have held similar events.

Dublin Maker continues to grow every year – and we are very excited by that, but as the festival gets bigger, the selection process has become a little more competitive. So in filling out this form, we ask that you give us as much detail as possible so we can understand your project fully.
Dublin Maker is all about showcasing the process of making. We want festival visitors to leave inspired to try things themselves. So don't worry about finesse, don't worry about polish! If your project looks like its been thrown together in the garden shed so much the better. We love that! We do want to prioritise exhibits that demonstrate how things are made – not just the final result. We will also prioritise exhibits that include hands-on activities and opportunities for the public to get involved, as these interactive experiences are what visitors enjoy most about the festival.
We look forward to learning more about your work! Any questions/ queries or if you need a hand filling out this form – just drop an email to amy@dublinmaker.ie.
