Back by popular demand, we’re excited to announce that the call for papers is now open for the eBPF Summit 2024, a virtual event, targeted at eBPF enthusiasts, platform architects, security teams, and developers.

eBPF is one of the most talked about technologies in our industry - enabling a new generation of networking, observability, and security tools. The eBPF Summit is targeted at users and potential users of this groundbreaking technology, who want a better understanding of what it is, how it works, and the real world problems it solves.  

This free summit will include presentations from those leading the open source eBPF community, eBPF developers, and from eBPF power-users. Last year’s talks included keynotes from Intel, Postman, and Isovalent and a wide range of insightful user lightning talks. Participants will again have a chance to ask questions of the speakers and chat with peers on a Slack forum. We’re inviting eBPF users, contributors, community members, and newcomers who want to learn more to participate in this gathering.

eBPF talks

You are invited to submit talks describing how you're using eBPF and eBPF-based open source projects to solve real world problems. To be clear, you do not have to be writing raw eBPF programs yourself to speak - we expect many speakers to be leveraging eBPF via derivative projects (such as the ones listed here).

We're now accepting submissions for lightning talks of 5-10 minutes and sessions of 15 minutes.

Lighting talks and sessions will need to be pre-recorded. We do ask that the speaker is present to answer questions and interact with the community.  

Suggested Topics

We invite talks on using eBPF to solve real-world problems, such as:

  • Observing, Tracing, and Debugging Applications with eBPF
  • eBPF-based Networking, Load-Balancing, & Network Security
  • Securing Systems, CI/CD pipelines, and applications with eBPF
  • Kernel Implementations, eBPF programming, and & eBPF libraries
  • Getting involved with eBPF contributions, in the kernel or in projects
  • Technical deep dives from kernel to projects leveraging eBPF
  • New exciting eBPF Projects
  • Getting Started with eBPF
  • Future & Outlook of eBPF
  • ...

This is an open source and vendor neutral conference. Please only submit talks covering open source code. Vendor pitches for proprietary solutions will be laughed at and not accepted.
