Pennsylvania's Largest EMS Gathering - celebrating 39 years of quality emergency medical education and EMS/Public Safety networking at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, March 26, 27 and 28, 2026. 

Our event draws over 1,000 EMS providers from almost every county in Pennsylvania and from surrounding mid-Atlantic states. 

EMS managers, supervisors and field personnel, along with hospital-based physicians and nurses, and other first responders (fire, dispatchers, law enforcement, rescue) participate.

We encourage you to develop your proposal understanding that:

1. The majority of the students at EMS Update 2026 (~68%) are certified at the BLS/EMT level.

2. We are looking for innovative sessions our students will not find elsewhere.

When developing the conference program, the Board of Directors' Conference Selection Committee (committee)’s goal is to provide a balanced program that meets the variety of skill levels and interests of the conference audience. The committee will evaluate all proposed programs based on the following criteria:

• Overall quality;

• Relevance to the EMS community;

• Timeliness of the topic and speaker qualifications

To improve the chance that your session submission is selected, please clearly demonstrate the following criteria:

RELEVANCE

1. The topic of the session is timely for the industry today.

2. Attendees will be able to relate to the content and apply what they have learned in their roles.

3. The topic must be something that will attract attendees.

INNOVATION

1. The subject matter is cutting-edge, with new ideas, or presents old ideas with a twist.

2. The content provides a thought-leadership perspective for the attendees.

3. Content is presented in a creative and engaging way.

CLARITY

1. The abstract and title of the session demonstrate the intent in a clear and concise way – feel free to be creative.

2. Learning objectives are well-defined.

3. The learning level of the presentation is clearly defined and supported by objectives.

PREPAREDNESS

1. The presenter is knowledgeable and experienced on the topic submitted.

2. The presenter will use different ways to engage the attendees throughout the session.

3. The submission is complete and the presenter is committed to meeting all requirements and expectations.

Incomplete proposals will not be considered. Proposals submitted September 12, 2024 and onward will not be considered.
