Event Professionals Now is a LIVE, choose-your-own-adventure virtual experience designed for the event pro seeking to grow beyond the ordinary.

3 Days of Sessions - Attendees can attend one or all three days

  • Day 1 - Thursday, February 20, 2025, 8 - 11 a.m. PT
  • Day 2 - Thursday, February 27, 2025, 8 - 11 a.m. PT
  • Day 3 - Thursday, March 6, 2025, 8 - 11 a.m. PT

Session inspiration includes the following and beyond:

  • Strategies for executing and managing various events, including trade shows, user conferences, virtual events, and more.
  • Professional development skills needed to thrive include time management and forecasting, adaptability and resilience, managing up, effective communication, stress management, self-discipline and focus, staying curious with continuous learning, physical and mental endurance, and work-life balance.
  • The state of the industry: where we are now, where we are headed, and how to build a strategy that gets us there.
  • Collaborating with others in marketing and cross-functionally with sales, finance, product, and engineering.
  • Tools we love and the challenges we face.
  • Vendors we love and how to best partner.
  • The strength of building and being part of a community.
  • ROI and data: what to care about, who needs to be involved, and how to measure success.
  • Sponsorship sales and management how to.
  • The power of asking for feedback and holding people accountable before, during, and post-event. 
  • Having empathy and patience during the main tailspins of events: Working with different perspectives and handling high-pressure situations. 

Session format:

  • All sessions will be LIVE to encourage engagement.
  • Sessions will be bite-sized, ranging from 10-30 min.
  • All sessions will be recorded and available on-demand.

Here's how speaking can make a difference for you and the community:

  • Experience newness and new trends: We're structuring the event and content differently to improve your (the speaker) and the attendees experience.
  • Showcase your expertise while expanding your reach and influence while helping others.
  • Grow your network with new vendors, attendees, and a special speakers channel via Slack.
  • Increase your brand exposure: Visibility via video, social, Slack and sponsor promotions, during your live session, and post-event with on-demand. We'll also take each session and create follow-up content (bite-size video), checklists, and SOPs, which you can share with your audience as well.

Speaker expectations:

PRE-EVENT

  • A speaker tech check is required. It should take 15-30 min.
  • Join the EPN Slack to engage with attendees.
  • Access to everything required to present successfully virtually (high-speed internet, computer, mic, video, etc.)
  • Agrees to prepare engaging and out-of-the-ordinary content, with audience participation via Q&A, live polls, giveaways, welcoming chats, and or conversation starters.
  • Aim to surprise and delight! Provide resources like templates, checklists, quotes, books to read, podcasts to listen to, etc.
  • Storytelling: Share about your experiences.
  • Attend a 15 min promo recording session. You can select the time that works best for you.
  • Arrive 20 min early on the day of your session for virtual backstage check-in.
  • Speakers are encouraged to provide exclusive offers like VIP coffee dates, mentorship for a month, swag, books, or other giveaways.
  • Show excitement for your session and the event by posting on LinkedIn with hashtags #EventProfs and #EventProsNow.

POST-SESSION

  • Stay 15 minutes after your session to answer attendee questions in the EPN Slack and post resources or further inspiration.
  • Agree that we can take your session recording and create further post-event content to encourage attendees to thrive. 
  • Sessions will be made available on-demand.

SUBMIT A TALK PROPOSAL

We know you're busy! Brain-dump your ideas below; we'll review them and get back to you.

You can also simply check off which areas you are an expert in, and we'll reach out with a talk idea(s) for your feedback.

Ideally, you'd include a talk title and abstract. Not sure what to talk about yet? Include your general idea or focus and we can refine later. 

There is no need to go wild on the copy; we need enough information to determine whether the community would benefit from the talk. You can submit up to 3 talk ideas via the form.

The event will take place over three weeks, one day a week. Attendees can attend one, two, or all three days. All sessions will be presented LIVE for better engagement.
