DETAILS

 🔹 When: The 2nd Tuesday of each month • 5:45 - 7:00pm ET.

 🔹 Format: Meetings are Virtual/Online • Posted afterwards to YouTube 

 🔹 Session Types: Presentations, demonstrations, panels, workshops, Ask the Expert conversations, certification journeys, or success showcases.

 🔹 Topics: All things Microsoft Fabric and Power BI such as features, workloads, best practices, lessons learned, tips and tricks, use with AI, news and updates, etc. Insurance, analytics, data integrations, data engineering, real-time intelligence, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, data governance, data warehouses and lakehouses, data science, data factory, and IQ. Session content may cover just about any area of using Fabric and/or PowerBI such as features, best practices, lessons learned, tips and tricks, use with AI, news and updates, etc. Practical examples of real-world use cases for the insurance industry.

The Fabric & Power BI Insurance User Group exists to connect insurance professionals, data practitioners, analysts, architects, and AI innovators who are leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and related technologies to modernize insurance operations. Our community fosters knowledge sharing, collaborative problem solving, real-world use cases, and professional growth while advancing analytics, AI, governance, and data-driven decision making across the insurance industry.

In short, our group is a welcoming environment where Power BI and Fabric practitioners and learners in or interested in the insurance industry (benefits, property and casualty, executive, individuals) can learn from one another.

HOW TO APPLY

Please fill out the speaker application form.  We welcome speakers from all levels of experience and backgrounds.

We welcome first-time speakers, experienced presenters, business users, industry leaders, MVPs and of course, Microsoft Data Platform Super Users. 

You do not need a recognized name or have the perfect project. You only need something meaningful to share and a desire to help others learn. We can provide sample insurance datasets to use in presentations and demos if needed.

  • Practical Business Scenarios: Highlight the real-world applicability of your chosen topic and how it can be used in the insurance industry. 
  • Interactive Sessions: Encourage audience participation and facilitate discussions during your session.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share valuable insights, practical tips, and best practices with the community.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor throughout your session.
  • Q&A Participation: Be prepared to answer questions and engage with attendees during the Q&A portion of the session.
