Forge is a cutting-edge conference designed for engineers, architects, and thought leaders to delve into the forefront of technology. Our mission is to curate sessions led by passionate technologists, showcasing unique case studies, groundbreaking insights into emerging technologies, and practical strategies adaptable to individual needs. 

This conference is presented and organized by Object Computing, Inc. and the Unity Foundation.

Forge STL will host a symposium in St. Louis, MO on October 7th and we are excited to announce our call for speakers who are eager to share their knowledge and experience with the development community. 

All presentations be in-person and should have a length of 50 minutes, including any Q&A.

Topic areas to expect at Forge STL:

  • Application Evolutions: Explores how new tools, languages, frameworks and ways of working that transform how applications are being built and create that delightful user experience. Examples include: novel solutions or frameworks, application modernization methodologies and advances in user experiences (e.g. AR, VR, wearables).
  • Edge Computing Innovations: Focuses on unlocking computing at the edge, which brings processing power closer to data acquisition, and can transform user experiences by increasing efficiencies in data-intensive tasks. Examples include: new platforms and frameworks, hardware architectures and security concerns.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Explores the automation and management of infrastructure through code (eg. software) and the tools, tricks and mechanics that allow everyone to become a DevOps Engineer. Examples include: New - platforms, languages, and frameworks, best practices and mechanics for developers, and platforms and tools (inc. cloud & security).
  • Language Trends: Focuses on emerging trends in programming languages and frameworks and the architectural principles required to select one language over another. Examples include: new languages and evolutionary changes in established languages.
  • AI Integrations: Dives into the fast-paced ecosystem of artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI (GenAI), machine learning (ML), predictive modeling, etc. from a software engineer's perspective. Examples include: platforms, integration tooling and architectural concerns. 
  • Software Supply Chains: Explores the end-to-end concerns of building scalable software-driven systems from project design, configuration management for software-defined components, security and best practices for maintaining code integrity. Examples include: project architectures, novel software integration and developer community communication.
  • Personal Growth: Dives into the importance of personal development as a part of professional growth and provides practical lessons and tips to help you thrive in your career by fostering a growth mindset and embracing continuous learning. Examples include: impactful presentation techniques, seeking mentorship, and reflecting and reacting to new learning.
