Furnal Equinox is a Toronto-based convention celebrating the arts and culture of the furry fandom and animal enthusiasts, held during the Spring Equinox weekend in March. From the first convention in 2010 which took place at the former Doubletree Toronto Airport Hotel, it has grown into an event with over 2200 local and international attendees and costumers and hosts a wide variety of events and performances.
As a non-profit event, the convention’s focus is primarily on sharing and celebrating anthropomorphic (humanized) arts and culture, while simultaneously fundraising and spreading awareness for Ontario-based animal charities that partner with the convention. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of animals or looking to explore this colourful community, there’s a little something for everyone.
