This is an ongoing call to all speakers willing to share their experiences, tell their stories, and share their knowledge. We don’t care if you are new to public speaking or if you are a guru who has been in seclusion in the high fields of Adrar, nor do we mind if you are native to Souss. We are interested in your knowledge, your story, and your motivation to share whatever experience you had and we will do whatever we can to help you build and bring your voices to light.

If you are still not 100% sure about what story or knowledge you want to share submit your interest as soon as possible and we will reach out to you and help you get ready as much as we can.

- Cloud

- Security

- Web Dev

- Mobile Dev

- Quantum Computing

How to Submit Your Proposal:

We have streamlined this year's submission process, and hope you find it easy to submit your proposal. Here is what you will need to prepare:

1. Choose a Session format:

- Presentation: 40-minute presentation, maximum of 2 speakers

- Panel: 40 minutes of discussion amongst 3 to 5 speakers

- Workshop: 150-minute (2h 30m), in-depth, hands-on presentation with 1–4 speakers

- Lightning Talk: 10-minute presentation, limited to 1 speaker

2. Provide a Session Title and Detailed Description for the submission, which will be used in the online schedule if your proposal is selected. Please indicate if your session contains beginner, intermediate, or advanced content.

3. Each speaker must provide a Speaker Biography to showcase experiences.

4. Optionally, include Additional Details, Resources, or Notes describing why the proposal is relevant to the Istio community. This will be used to help the committee select your submission.

Live vs recorded:

Depending on the session type, they may be live or recorded. This is the plan:

- All lightning talks are recorded previously and there is no live Q&A.

- All workshops and discussion panels are live.

- Talks are live by default, but in cases where the speaker will not be available on the given day or has an unreliable connection, we can record them.

Language:

You can submit your session in English or in Darija. While we anticipate most of the talks will be presented in English.

**Speaker Guidelines and Expectations:**

What we expect from your talk submission

- Your Profile: A brief bio is required as part of your submission. We also ask for a headshot photo of you.

- No Sales or Marketing Pitches: We request no presentations be built around a vendor product or service. This includes companies providing technology tools, services, and consulting. However, if you think you have something special to share, we will consider it on a case-by-case basis.

If your session is approved, here are the ground rules and a few legal considerations.

- Your outline must be provided for review 2 weeks before the talks

- Your slides must be provided for review 1 week before the talk

- All sessions will be recorded in person and published on YouTube at a later date.

Presentation Deck

When we reach out to you with the time and date for your presentation, we will provide a basic template, the content is up to you but we are here to help you out if you are looking for mentoring and help guide you through the process of creating your presentation. You will need to provide your slides deck to the track moderator one week prior to the event. This gives you and the track moderator a chance to improve and work through any questions you may have to answer during your presentation. We understand that you will update your presentation before you go online to present it, but that’s okay, we just need a general idea of what your presentation is about in the outline of it to understand where it is headed.

For first-timers, we understand that it might be difficult to create an effective presentation for the first time, and that’s where we will offer our help to guide you through the whole process. We would be more than happy to provide you with tips and pointers, and also some tricks or as many speakers that we worked with called it “this might be sorcery”. We are here to build a community, and we believe that can’t be done unless we created world-class speakers. But becoming a well-seasoned speaker is not built overnight. Start small, grow to reach the sky.

Agreement to Record and Distribute the Session

By agreeing to speak at our events, you agree that we may record your session and eventually published it via YouTube and that we will be promoting your session after the conference through the creation of playlists and various social media promotions.

After your presentation

We will share your public contacts with them so that you can continue to interact with your audience and share more and love more.

Bssmlah, bssmlah…Can you hear me?

This is a live session, so in case you submitted a live talk so keep that in mind as you join the platform where we will hold our events. On the day of your presentation, care to check in 15 min prior to your talk to make sure the attendees will be able to hear your lovable voice.

Support during Your Presentation

No human is left behind, be sure that you won’t be left alone during your presentation. A facilitator will be with you to take care of all the hindrances and help you out with any technical issues you might face. As well as share any links you want to share with your audience.

We look forward to hearing about what you’re working on.
