GitHub Copilot Dev Days Newcastle 2026 is an in-person community event taking place on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at The Common Room in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The event forms part of the global GitHub Copilot Dev Days programme from GitHub and Microsoft, bringing developers and technical communities together for practical, hands-on learning with GitHub Copilot.
Hosted by the North East Azure Hub, the Newcastle event will feature technical sessions, live demos, hands-on learning and practical discussions around modern AI-assisted software development.

We are looking for a small number of speakers from the Microsoft MVP and wider technical community to contribute practical sessions to GitHub Copilot Dev Days Newcastle.
We welcome session proposals around topics including:
- GitHub Copilot in real-world development workflows
- GitHub Copilot CLI
- AI-assisted software development
- Agentic development and AI agents
- MCP and developer tooling
- GitHub workflows and automation
- Responsible and effective use of AI in software engineering
Sessions should ideally be practical, demo-led and focused on useful takeaways for developers.
Session formats:
Technical session / demo: 20 to 25 minutes
Hands-on workshop: 45 to 60 minutes
Practical demos and real-world examples are strongly encouraged.

We are particularly interested in sessions that demonstrate real-world use cases rather than purely theoretical presentations.
Please note: Speaker travel and accommodation expenses are not currently covered.
