GitHub Dev Day Nagpur 2026 — Call for Speakers

GitHub Dev Day Nagpur 2026 is bringing together developers, students, engineers, open-source contributors, and technology enthusiasts for a hands-on exploration of the future of software development with GitHub Copilot.

We’re looking for passionate builders, engineers, open-source contributors, AI practitioners, and technical experts to share practical knowledge, real-world workflows, experiments, and lessons learned.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome sessions that demonstrate how GitHub Copilot can be applied to real developer workflows, including:

• GitHub Copilot App & Agentic Development
• GitHub Copilot CLI
• AI-assisted coding and software engineering
• Context engineering and effective instructions
• Custom agents, agent skills, and custom instructions
• MCP servers and AI-powered developer workflows
• Plan Mode, Agent Mode, and multi-agent workflows
• Testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation with Copilot
• Building and contributing to open source with Copilot
• Real-world projects, case studies, and developer experiences
• Responsible and effective AI-assisted development

We especially encourage live demos, technical deep dives, hands-on workshops, and real-world case studies.

Session Formats

Technical Sessions — 30–45 minutes

Focused talks, technical deep dives, demonstrations, or real-world case studies.

Hands-on Workshops — 60–120 minutes

Interactive sessions where attendees learn by building, experimenting, and solving real problems using GitHub Copilot.

Sessions can be Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Please clearly indicate the intended audience and any prerequisites.

Who Can Submit?

You don't need to be a full-time developer advocate or a professional speaker. If you build with the technology, experiment with it, solve problems with it, or have something valuable to teach, we want to hear from you.

Developers, engineers, students, open-source contributors, technical leaders, AI practitioners, researchers, and community builders are all encouraged to submit.

What Makes a Great Session?

Think beyond “What is GitHub Copilot?”

Show us what can be built, improved, automated, or discovered with it.

The strongest submissions will provide attendees with practical knowledge they can apply immediately — whether that's a new workflow, a better development practice, a useful technique, or a completely new way of approaching software development.

Important Prerequisites

Hands-on sessions may require attendees to bring a laptop and have a GitHub account with access to GitHub Copilot.

Please mention any required software, repositories, extensions, accounts, or setup instructions in your submission.

Note: Hands-on activities may consume GitHub Copilot AI credits. Speakers should design exercises with credit usage in mind and communicate relevant requirements to attendees in advance.
