Our Focus and Tracks:

We organise our talks and tracks under the broad categories of Google-based technologies, tools and techniques:

AI: Gemini, Gemma, Vertex AI, Generative AI in general.

Mobile (Android/Flutter)

Web: Angular, Chrome, etc

Cloud: GCP, DevOps, etc

Beyond (e.g., Design, "soft" developer skills and career advice talks, and similar non-technical talks)

What We're Looking For:

We value experience-based talks. We won't consider proposals that:

• We want speakers at this event to go beyond slide decks and actually demonstrate what they've built, or live code some project, so they can engage and inspire the attendees.
• Simply repeat documentation without sharing your personal experience and lessons learned
  
• Act as a pitch or sales pitch for a company or product. While mentioning your company is fine, it shouldn't be the primary focus.
• Are recruitment talks aimed at talent acquisition.

Session Formats:

Sessions will have a duration not exceeding 60 minutes, including Q&A. Talks with co-speakers are welcome.

For New or Inexperienced Speakers:

First-time or inexperienced speakers are encouraged to request assistance from our organizing team. We're here to provide advice on your slides and help you rehearse for a successful presentation.

Language Requirement:

All sessions must be presented in English.

Important Note:

Please note that this is an in-person event, and speakers must be able to travel to Cape Town to deliver their talk. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide travel and accommodation funds.
