Call for Speakers – Google I/O Extended: Build with AI | GDG Kisumu

GDG Kisumu is inviting passionate speakers, developers, AI practitioners, educators, and technology enthusiasts to share their knowledge and experiences at **Google I/O Extended: Build with AI, taking place on 25th July.

This event will bring together members of the Kisumu tech community to explore the latest innovations from Google, gain hands-on experience with AI technologies, and discover learning resources that can accelerate their growth in technology.

We are seeking speakers for the following sessions:

1. Google I/O Recap Session

Share the biggest announcements, product updates, and key takeaways from Google I/O. We are looking for speakers who can break down what's new across Google's ecosystem, including AI, Android, Web, Cloud, and Developer Tools, and explain what these developments mean for developers and tech communities.

2. Build with AI (BwAI) Technical Workshop

Lead an engaging technical workshop focused on building with Google's AI technologies. Topics may include Gemini, Vertex AI, AI Studio, agent development, prompt engineering, AI-powered applications, or practical AI use cases. Sessions should be hands-on and designed to help attendees gain practical experience and leave with actionable skills.

3. Google Skills & Learning Resources Session

Introduce attendees to Google's learning ecosystem and skill-building opportunities. We are looking for speakers who can showcase resources such as Google Cloud Skills Boost, Google AI learning paths, certifications, developer programs, community initiatives, and other tools that can help learners and professionals advance their careers. Speakers should also provide guidance on how attendees can effectively access and utilize these resources.
