Google I/O Extended Jinja 2026 brings together the local tech community to explore the future of Cloud and AI technology. Hosted by GDG Cloud Jinja in a hybrid format, this event unpacks the latest announcements and breakthroughs from Google I/O, focusing on cutting-edge developer tools, cloud solutions, and community collaboration.

We are looking for passionate speakers to share their knowledge, showcase live demos, and inspire developers, student innovators, and tech professionals in Jinja and beyond.

What We Expect From Submitted Sessions

1. Acceptable Areas & Topics

We are heavily focusing on topics related to Google's core developer ecosystem and recent announcements. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning: Gemini API, Vertex AI, TensorFlow, Keras, on-device AI, and prompt engineering.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Serverless architecture, Kubernetes/GKE, cloud security, databases, and sustainable cloud computing.

Web Development: Angular, Firebase, Chrome DevTools, Web Capabilities (Project Fugu), performance optimization, and Next-Gen Core Web Vitals.

Accessibility: Inclusive design, building accessible web/mobile experiences, and leveraging assistive tech.

Developer Productivity & Tools: DevOps pipelines, automation, or using AI coding assistants.

2. Accepted Session Formats

To cater to both our physical and virtual audiences, we are accepting the following formats:

Tech Talks (30-45 Mins): Presentation style covering a specific concept, deep-dive architectural design, or a case study. Includes Q&A.

Live Demos & Code-Alongs (45 Mins): Highly interactive sessions showing the implementation of a Google tool or API from scratch.

Lightning Talks (15 Mins): Short, high-impact sessions focusing on a quick tip, cool project, or lessons learned.

3. Levels of Expertise

We welcome content for all learning stages! Please label your session as one of the following:

Beginner (Introductory): No prior knowledge of the tool/framework required. Great for conceptual explanations and getting started.

Intermediate: Assumes attendees understand foundational concepts and focuses on best practices, real-world issues, and integrations.

Advanced: Deep-dives, complex architectures, performance tuning, and highly specialized edge cases.
