Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal! HashiConf is focused on delivering highly technical content about our products, as well as customer implementation stories that show how HashiCorp products are being used in the field by our community, customers and partners.

TRACKS

HashiConf will have a number of tracks, including:

  • Cloud Engineering Track focuses on creating a deeper understanding of HashiCorp products. We are looking for technical sessions led by experts from our customers and community. Additionally, sessions that explore recent features, technical deep-dives and implementation success stories.
  • Business Track explores the strategic side of cloud automation and its impacts on how businesses run on cloud and create software. We are looking for technology leaders to share best practices for using HashiCorp products to efficiently scale cloud adoption and improve developer experiences while controlling costs and mitigating risks. We want the audience to gain from your session an understanding of key metrics for success and learn how to overcome common challenges so they can leapfrog common pitfalls.
  • Hallway Track is a community based, smaller in-person track featuring 15-minute sessions. This track provides attendees with an opportunity for a more intimate and informal discussion compared to our other tracks.

THEMES AND TOPICS

We are looking for 30-minute sessions with the following themes and topics:

Themes

  • Cost reduction: reduce cloud waste, manual processes and tool duplication
  • Risk mitigation: lower the risk of breach, enforce policy prior to deployment, and streamline audits
  • Speed and productivity of developers: unblock developer productivity for faster time to market

Topics

  • Successful adoption of public cloud using modern workflows and organizational structures
  • Managing heterogeneous infrastructure while enforcing repeatable, consistent infrastructure-as-code, security policy building blocks and golden image repositories in a single system of engagement for hybrid environments across clouds and on-prem
  • (Zero trust) security and risk mitigation through identity-based security, privileged access management and dynamic secrets management to protect sensitive secrets, credentials, keys, and data
  • Cost optimization through policy-based management
  • Accelerating delivery of new applications and features through standardized delivery workflows
  • Acceleration of developer productivity through platform engineering and culture
  • How to use automation and collaboration to tackle the skills shortage

SPEAKER EXPECTATIONS

  • We are aiming to notify speakers in late July. If accepted, you will need to sign our Speaker Agreement.
  • Sessions are live and delivered in-person.
  • To help you be prepared for your session, you'll be assigned a HashiCorp Content Moderator for content development purposes. You need to be prepared to share your nearly final presentation with your content moderator prior to the presentation submission deadline. They will review your final presentation and offer feedback.
  • You will need to submit your final slide deck three weeks before the event.
  • All sessions (except for hallway track) are recorded and published on HashiCorp’s YouTube channel, but not all sessions are live streamed.
  • We cannot guarantee co-speakers or other formats (like panel discussions) for every session; kindly notify us if you have such requests.

HashiCorp is dedicated to providing an inclusive environment at all our events and part of that is ensuring that we are representing a diverse group of voices from our community. To help us in this regard, we'd like to ask you to answer some optional questions, if you are willing. If there is anything our team can do to make our events more accessible or inclusive, please let us know.
