Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal! HashiDays and HashiConf bring together the HashiCorp community, with a focus on delivering highly technical content about our products, as well as customer implementation stories that show how HashiCorp products are being used in the field by our community, customers, and partners.
TIMELINE
The HashiDays and HashiConf CFP will close for submissions on different dates for each location. See below for the timeframe we will be accepting submissions for each event.
HashiDays London: February 4, 2025 - March 14, 2025
HashiDays Singapore: February 4, 2025 - April 18, 2025
HashiConf: February 4, 2025 - June 6, 2025
TRACKS
HashiDays and HashiConf will both include a Cloud Engineering track:
- Cloud Engineering Track focuses on creating a deeper understanding of HashiCorp products and how they are being used in practice. We are looking for technical sessions led by experts from our customers and community, as well as sessions that explore recent features, technical deep-dives, and implementation success stories. Our goal is to help our community come together to share and discuss best practices, learn how to derive more value from our products and drive greater innovation.
In addition to the above, HashiConf will feature two more tracks:
- Business Track explores the strategic impact of cloud automation on how businesses run cloud and create software. We are looking for technology leaders to share their success stories demonstrating best practices for using HashiCorp products to efficiently scale cloud adoption and improve developer experiences while controlling costs and mitigating risks. From your session, we want the audience to gain an understanding of the key challenges you were facing, how you and your team went about overcoming these common challenges, and the key metrics for success you applied and achieved so they can leapfrog common pitfalls in their own implementations.
- Hallway Track is a smaller, community focused track featuring 15-minute lighting sessions. This track provides attendees with an opportunity for a more intimate, niche, and informal discussion across a wide variety of topics as compared to our other tracks. These sessions are meant to mimic conversations that you may have in the hallway with your colleagues or other event attendees.
THEMES AND TOPICS
We are looking for 30-minute sessions for Cloud Engineering and Business Track and 15-minute sessions for the Hallway Track with the following themes and topics:
Themes
- How organizations can learn to do cloud right in order to overcome common digital transformation challenges to drive successful business outcomes including: accelerating innovation and efficiency, strengthening security and governance, and optimizing cloud programs and ROI.
- Delivering the capabilities for unified infrastructure and security lifecycle management for cloud programs. How do operations teams use infrastructure as code (IaC) approach to build, deploy, and manage the infrastructure lifecycle over time? How do operations and security teams use identity-based access control to inspect their security posture, protect sensitive elements, and securely connect machines, users, and services? How do platform engineering teams work to build both together into an integrated development platform?
- Implementing platform engineering teams and the blueprint for their success in developing and deploying best in class Cloud programs. There is a typical three-phased journey organizations take as they build out these cloud programs: Adoption: tactical solutions that are developer-drive, standardization: strategic solutions driven by a platform engineering team across an organization cloud estate, and scale: extending these cloud programs in a transformative way across the organization's entire hybrid cloud programs.
Topics
- Successful adoption of public cloud using modern workflows and standardized organizational structures
- Managing heterogeneous infrastructure while enforcing repeatable, consistent infrastructure-as-code, security policy building blocks and golden image repositories in a single system of engagement across hybrid environments
- Zero trust security and risk mitigation through identity-based security, privileged access management, and dynamic secrets management to protect sensitive secrets, credentials, keys, and data
- Cost optimization through policy-based management and reusable cloud deployments and tooling at scale
- Accelerating delivery of new applications and features through standardized delivery workflows
- Acceleration of developer productivity through platform engineering and culture
- Integration of infrastructure and security lifecycle management into a unified cloud platform designed with developers in mind
- How to use automation and collaboration to tackle technical skills shortages
