IglooConf is a two-day, single-track, conference for all things Azure. 2022 is our fifth IglooConf, and is also unusually held as a summer conference, in the land of never-ending day. We will bring ~10 world-class speakers to Helsinki, Finland, in the most illuminated time of the year - June. Our audience is hungry for everything, but is usually composed of 60-80% of developers/architects, and the rest IT professionals and business decision-makers.
IglooConf is the biggest Azure-only conference in Finland (maybe Nordics?), and very well regarded by the attendees and past speakers, with survey averages ranging between 4,4-4,6 out of 5 yearly. The full conference will be both streamed online (for free) and provided through our Youtube channel for later viewing. Our goal is to spread your know-how and expertise, and therefore the event is non-profit, with a relatively small entrance fee of about ~300 euros.
IglooConf 2022: Midsummer will be held on the 16th and 17th of June 2022. As a speaker, you are treated to a post-conference one-night Finnish cottage experience. Thus, your flight back home should be on Saturday the 18th after 4 PM. One could say, this is a three-day event :)
IglooConf is organized by Finland Azure User Group, a community of over 1700 Azure enthusiasts. As some of the organizers are speakers themselves, they aim to provide you the best possible conference experience as a speaker.
The session recordings for IglooConf 2020, 2019, and 2018 are available at our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/FinlandAzureUserGroup/videos?view=0&sort=dd&flow=grid
Please, check the website for views on the previous events, and once we have a few speakers confirmed, we shall update the page to reflect the Midsummer 2022.
You’re warmly welcome to submit your session(s) for IglooConf 2022: Midsummer.
Are you passionate about Azure? Outstanding! We've traditionally had a lot of fun between us speakers both during the conference and at the Finland experience at a cottage by a lake. Join us for this beautiful midsummer experience in Finland!
This is a single-track conference, and we want you to bring the talks you are most excited about. The audience is looking to understand better, to broaden their minds, and to us the key is your ability to deliver understanding to community in Finland. We will not hand you a mandatory slide template and take you to a dull speaker dinner - instead, we'll let you decide how you want to give your talk, and then provide you with a cultural experience.
The submissions can be anything, as long as they are relevant, Azure-focused, and interesting. As stated in the event description, traditionally a bit over half of the audience are developers, so even deeply technical sessions have been favorably viewed. All presentations are in English, and the presentation slot will probably be ~50 minutes.
Also, feel free to submit more than 1 session, so we have some space to build the agenda, preferably 2 or 3, although no more than 5. We expect to confirm all speakers and sessions by the end of January 2022.
Flight costs from outside of Europe will need to be checked, we cover 3 nights of accommodation
