Python isn't just one ecosystem.
Across Bengaluru, different communities are building with Django, AI/ML frameworks, data tools, cloud platforms, scientific computing libraries, open-source infrastructure, and everything in between. While we often meet within our own circles, we rarely get a chance to see what the broader Python community is working on.
import_bengaluru is an attempt to bring these communities together for a day of learning and collaboration.
Hosted by BangPypers, this event features speakers from different Python-focused communities sharing practical experiences, lessons learned, and interesting work from their respective ecosystems. Rather than focusing on a single technology stack, the goal is to showcase the diversity of Python and the people building with it.
Whether you're a beginner, an experienced Python developer, an open-source contributor, a data scientist, an ML engineer, or simply curious about what other communities are doing, you'll find something worth taking away.
Join us for a day of talks, conversations, and community as we explore the many ways Python powers Bengaluru's technology ecosystem.

We are looking for talks related to Python and the open-source ecosystem.
Submissions should focus on practical experiences, tools, projects, ideas, or lessons that would be useful to the wider Python community. Topics may include:
* Python libraries, frameworks, and developer tooling
* Open-source projects and contribution journeys
* Web development, data, AI/ML, automation, DevOps, or scientific computing using Python
* Building and maintaining open-source communities or projects
* Case studies, technical deep dives, and lessons learned
* New or lesser-known tools within the Python ecosystem
Talks should be educational and community-focused rather than promotional.
We welcome submissions from first-time speakers, experienced speakers, maintainers, contributors, and community members. The proposed session should have a clear connection to Python, open source, or both.
