The Interledger Summit 2023 Call For Speakers is now open! We seek dynamic, participatory, and informative sessions for San Jose that help grow the ILP network, Open Payments, and the financial inclusion ecosystem with the broader Interledger community. We have several formats available and themes we would love to explore.

Theme: Ecosystems for Growth
We celebrate community, inclusion, and Open Tech.

Topic areas we are looking for sessions in:

• Open Payments Ecosystem
• Building on the Interledger network
• Financial Inclusion Lighting Talks centered on the Global South, women, impact, and regulatory environments.
• Case studies, projects, and innovations in open payments, microtransactions, mobile money, and Web Monetization

Session Details:

• This is a community conference — no sales pitches, please!
• See event type for time, content, and logistics
• All submissions should match the theme of the ILP Summitt
• Microphones, projectors, and other AV equipment WILL BE PROVIDED.
  But you need a computer and files for any presentation or demo
  
  

Session Format:

Product Showcase Demo - Do you have an open payments ecosystem product in development you want to share and get feedback on? We are inviting 25-minute share-outs. These share-outs should be engaging, come with a slideshow or related media and reserve some of the 25-minute slots for Q&A.

Lightning Talks - This is a 10-minute talk on something you are working on, researching, or have experience with. It will be presentation style and needs to come with a slideshow or related media. AV equipment WILL BE PROVIDED.

What are the key points you would like to convey in your talk? Why do you think people will benefit from knowing these points? What critical insight can you share that will help other people with their plans? We are looking for Lighting Talks that cover these topics:

• Working within regulatory environments (working with regulators)
• Impact of creating access to open payments
• Closing the gender gap in available payments tech
• Open payments/financial inclusion in the Global South    

Panel - This is a 50-minute interactive conversation with curated experts that provides insights into a relevant topic featuring thought leaders, practitioners, and developers. Must have a plan to include and account for attendee participation, questions, comments, and discussion.

Creative Conversations - This is a 50-minute participatory session where you look to ignite a conversation with a community brainstorming session. Collective problem-solving, co-design, and paper prototyping activities focus on participation and group work.

Future of Interledger Talk - This is a 15-minute talk. Do you want to share where you think the Open Payments Ecosystem is/should be heading with the entire Summit? We are looking for engaging speakers who can help describe the world we are all trying to build. We will prioritize talks that appeal to a diverse audience, balance information and are entertaining while holding central Summit themes.
