Join the Open Payments movement where a global community of changemakers are reimagining the future of digital financial systems. Explore the ways in which we can strengthen the UN initiative towards healthier digital public infrastructure (DPI), creating a more responsible financial ecosystem. Be part of sparking new collaborations that expand the adoption of Open Payments through Interledger and increasing economic participation for communities around the world.

Our official Summit will kick off on Oct 26 with the Interledger Innovation Exhibition, followed by a dynamic schedule of inspiring speakers, engaging sessions, and our legendary Summit party. We also welcome you to join us for our pre-Summit activities including a Community Open House on October 25th and ILP Hackathon on October 19th and 20th.

Our 2024 themes are digital public infrastructure (DPI), innovation, and inclusion. You can submit in the following areas:

  • Talks or demos (25 mins).
  • Panels (40 mins).
  • Workshops (40/80 mins).
  • Interledger Innovation Exhibition.

Infrastructure:
Building digital public infrastructure (DPI): Creating an ethical and responsible open payments movement

  • Opportunities and challenges.
  • Policy and Regulation.
  • Social capital and capacity.

Innovation:
Adoption of Open Payments through Interledger:  Open payment updates, insights and opportunities

  • Building on Interledger - updates and insights
  • Web Monetization
    -- Digital Creators and website owners get compensated and monetize their work without relying solely on outdated revenue models.
    -- Users support or pay for content they value on the internet.
  • Case studies, projects, and innovations in open payments.

Inclusion:
Increasing access to digital financial services: Creating opportunities for economic participation and growth

  • Increasing access to digital financial services for underrepresented groups and vulnerable populations to advance digital financial inclusion, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
  • Cross border remittance pathways for individual and economic prosperity.
  • Ecosystem collaborations and opportunities  (we welcome co-created sessions).

Interledger Innovation Exhibition:
Interledger Foundation will bring its community members together to connect face-to-face and showcase work in digital financial inclusion and open payments.

We seek innovative projects that showcase Open Payments, microtransactions, Mobile Money or Web Monetization as part of the Interledger Innovation Exhibition, which will officially open the 2024 Summit.
