Women Techmakers’ International Women’s Day (IWD) is our largest annual campaign where women across all tech tracks and experience levels gather to create connections, educate and inspire our tech community.
The theme this year is “Break the Pattern”.
Breaking the pattern means to stop accepting things just because they've always been that way.
This is the moment to disrupt old biases, step into spaces where we weren't expected, and rewrite the rules of who gets to shape technology's future.
Objectives: Inspiring and empowering women in tech, celebrating their achievements, fostering networking, and promoting skills development.
We highly encourage technical skills development.
Audience: Our attendees comprise beginner to intermediate tech learners, students, and tech professionals across various tech tracks.
Your IWD topic should:
* Be tech-focused
* Speak to women’s accomplishments (including those who dare to break the pattern and challenge what has always been)
* Support women’s growth in tech
We’re looking for women in tech who:
* Have technical expertise or hands-on experience in ANY tech field
* Enjoy sharing knowledge, teaching, or mentoring others
* Can break down complex topics in ways that techies of all levels—beginners to experts—can understand.
* Have career insights, real-world experiences, or lessons learned from working in the tech industry
* Are passionate about empowering and supporting other women in tech.
