Join us for IWD Kigali 2026, where we come together to Break the Pattern. Hosted by Women Techmakers in partnership with Women in Tech club of CMU-Africa and GDG-Kigali, International Women’s Day (IWD) remains the world’s largest celebration of women in technology, leadership, and innovation.
In 2026, we challenge the status quo. Under the theme “Break the Pattern,” we spotlight women who are disrupting norms, redefining career paths, building inclusive technologies, and rewriting the narratives that have historically limited access and opportunity in tech.
This year’s event will explore how breaking patterns in thinking, in systems, in representation, and in opportunity to create space for innovation and lasting impact. Through inspiring keynote talks, dynamic panel discussions, practical workshops, and powerful community conversations, we will equip participants with the tools and confidence to challenge limitations and create new possibilities.
Whether you are a developer, student, founder, designer, or tech enthusiast, this event will inspire you to question the norm, push boundaries, and boldly break the pattern.
International Women’s Day (IWD) is Women Techmakers’ largest annual campaign, where Ambassadors host and speak at events around the world throughout March and April in celebration of women in technology, leadership, and innovation.
