IstioCon 2022 is the community conference for the world's most popular service mesh.
IstioCon 2022 will be an industry-focused event, a platform to connect contributors and users to discuss uses of Istio in different architectural setups, limitations, and where to take the project next.
The goal of the conference is to help users understand what they can do with Istio, supported by examples from a variety of industries, and with content tailored for different levels of expertise.
End-user companies are welcome to submit session proposals (Reminder: This is a community conference — so no sales pitches!).
This year’s IstioCon features content from introductory to advanced levels, split into four main topic tracks. We encourage you to share real world examples, case studies, and success stories that can inspire newcomers to use Istio in production.
How to Submit Your Proposal:
We have streamlined this year's submission process, and hope you find it easy to submit your proposal. Here is what you will need to prepare:
1. Choose a Session format:
2. Provide a Session Title and Detailed Description for the submission, which will be used in the online schedule if your proposal is selected. Please indicate if your session contains beginner, intermediate, or advanced content.
3. Each speaker must provide a Speaker Biography to showcase relevant experiences with Istio.
4. Optionally, include Additional Details, Resources, or Notes describing why the proposal is relevant to the Istio community. This will be used to help the committee select your submission.
Live vs recorded:
Depending on the session type, they may be live or recorded. This is the plan:
You can submit your session in English or in Chinese. While we anticipate most of the talks will be presented in English, sessions in Chinese will be broadcasted at a time that is convenient for the audience in China.
