Thank you for your interest in speaking at the #IWD Malmö 2023! 

We have 3 formats of participation:

• 20 or 40 minutes talk.
• 10 minutes lightning talk.
• Submit your interest to be part of a panel of 5 women in tech. Bring a topic to discuss.

If you are not sure whether your topic is relevant or interesting enough, have a look at this year's areas of interest. You are doing this for a community, therefore mind its interests. We are interested in the following:

Relevant topics for women in tech:

• Diversity in leadership positions
  
• Women founders and startups
• Career development skills for developers
• Biases, barriers, challenges
• Online Safety
• Women's Health

Technical Topics:

• Mobile (Android, Flutter, Kotlin)
• Web technologies
• UI/UX
• DevOps/Cloud

Why is it cool to speak at the IWD Malmö 2023?

• Exposure of up to 100 developers on site.
• You get to impact a whole community of aspiring developers and future change makers.
• We may record your talk and publish it on YouTube for additional exposure (The video might be incorporated in the official Google Developers Website and channel).
• We will work with you to make the best presentation – we will share some tips before the conference and give you feedback from attendees after the conference.
  

Deadlines:

📅 17 April 2023 – Call for Speakers form closes.

📅 21 April 2023 – by this date everybody should know about the result.

We are interested in experience-based talks. We will not accept proposals that are:

🚫 Repetitive documentation without your experience/lessons learned.

🚫 Pitching/selling a company or a product. It's OK to mention your company, but it shouldn't be the main focus.

🚫 Stolen presentations. We believe in originality.

Women Techmakers #IWD Conference is a non-profit event with free entrance. All travel and accommodation expenses during the event are borne by the speaker.
