Do you want to be a speaker? Do you have an exciting topic, idea or experience you would like to present at JCON EUROPE 2023? Then we look forward to your submission!

JCON EUROPE 2023

JCON EUROPE is a Java-focused, in-person community event held at the Cinedom Multiplex Cinema in Cologne, Germany. 

The schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday, June 20th, 0900h - 1800h: Conference Day (followed by Speaker Dinner)
• Wednesday, June 21st, 0900h - 1800h: Conference Day
• Thursday, June 22nd, 0900h - 1800h: Conference Day
• Friday, June 23rd, 0900h - 1300h: Workshop Day

What we are looking for

We accept submissions for 45 minutes standard conference sessions (Please set some time aside for Q&A and participant interaction within your 45 minutes. We need a 15 minutes break between sessions to set up the next speaker properly.) and 4-hour hands-on workshops (the number and length of breaks are determined by the speaker).

You can make different proposals on different topics and thus submit several presentations. The chances are highest in the topics of Core Java and cloud-native Java. These are our main topics. 

Submit relevant topics: You are going to discuss things that participants of the conference find useful not only yesterday but also today and in the future. Does this subject matter have broad appeal and application? 

We look for practical applicability: The content is important from a practical point of view and you not only cover the existing problems / solutions, but also share your experience.

What you get

Speakers at JCON EUROPE 2023 can look forward to the following benefits:

• Conference Pass: All accepted speakers receive a complimentary four-day pass to JCON EUROPE 2023, including access to the June 23rd workshop day. The pass is not transferable.
• Conference Passes for your friends: 5 x 3-day passes for all conference sessions in the main program, which you can use to invite your colleagues, business partners, or friends to JCON EUROPE 2023.
• Hotel contingent: Book one of our close by conference hotels at our fixed rate. First come, First serve. Limited availability. 
• Speaker Dinner: All speakers are invited and encouraged to attend a VIP dinner on the evening of Monday, June 19th, 2023. This special event offers an excellent opportunity to network and meet with your peers from around the globe. Don't miss it!
• Social Media Visibility: We also increase your visibility and offer you the opportunity to send us a video teaser, which we will distribute via our social media channels in advance.

Travel support

We are aware that not everybody can afford travel and conference participation.  JCON is a community conference in that spirit, we give free tickets to Java User Groups. That eats a lot out of our budget, so we decided not to provide travel support.
