Got a talk idea? We want to see it!

For the 6th year, we're pleased to announce JSConf Colombia's CFP!

We like to think we're one of the best JavaScript conferences in the world but come and you can be the judge! Each year we gather JavaScript enthusiast from around the world to meet, learn and share our excitement for the little monster that we love and call JavaScript.

  • You can send as many proposals as you want
  • You can submit talks in either English or Spanish (we will have interpreters at the event for both)
  • We will reach out to selected speakers on July 15 via email for confirmation of selection
  • Announcements will be done later via Twitter and our websites.
  • Talks duration is 30mins.
  • Lightning Talks duration is 15mins and just available for Colombian residents.

Diversity Matters!

JSConf Colombia's CFP is committed to creating a conference that is as inclusive as possible. We want to give a space to talent available around Colombia, Latin-America and as well as international submissions.

We are also committed to ensuring the conference is a place where ideas are exchanged, old friends get together, new friends meet and harassment is not tolerated. We expect speakers, attendees, and sponsor representatives to be professional and courteous to each other. We reserve the right to remove, without refund, ANY attendee (speaker or otherwise) who is unable to adhere to this policy.

Call for Speakers

Call closes at 11:59 PM

16 Jun 2019

Call closes in SA Pacific Standard Time (UTC-05:00) timezone.
Closing time in your timezone () is .

We encourage potential speakers to submit more than one submission on more than one topic. The more submissions you contribute, the more options you give us to pick you. Make sure your talk title and abstract define the exact topic you want to cover and what you hope people will learn from the session. In previous years, some submissions were really interesting but not detailed enough for them to make the final cut.

Selection Process

This is how we will select the proposals:

  • The originality of the talk. We really want to offer the best content, we don't want the same talks given by the same people. Feel free to give it a creative and out of the box touch.
  • Topic and content driven. It doesn't matter who you are, what we'll take into account will be the topic and description of your talk.
  • We will have two rounds of voting.
  • All proposals will be picked through a blind selection. (meaning, we will anonymize all proposals so judges can't know who submitted what)
