Welcome to the 2026 Season of the Panama Java User Group (JUG)!
We are thrilled to announce the reactivation of JUG Panama with a bold new mission: To become the premier Cloud Native Java Hub in the region. This year, we are bridging the gap between traditional enterprise development and the modern, container-first ecosystem. We are looking for passionate speakers, GDEs, and Java Champions to join us in this journey.
We hold events monthly from January through November. We review submissions on a rolling basis. When you submit, you are entering the pool for the whole year, and we will contact you to schedule the best month for your talk.

We are looking for speakers who can bridge the gap between traditional enterprise Java and the modern, container-first ecosystem. Whether you are a Java Champion, a GDE, or a local expert with a great story to tell, we want to hear from you.
Languages
We accept sessions in both English and Spanish. Please indicate the language of your delivery in your submission.
Two Ways to Participate
When submitting, please choose the Session Type that fits your content:
1. Cloud Native Java Nights (Virtual)
- Format: 45 min Talk + 15 min Q&A.
- Venue: Online
- Schedule: Monthly (Last Monday of each month).
2. JUG Panama Code Labs (Workshops)
- Format: 3-4 Hours Hands-on Deep Dive.
- Venue: Virtual or Hybrid (Saturday Mornings).
- Goal: "Zero to Hero" practical sessions.
Core Topics We Want
We strictly prioritize Modern Java topics. If your talk covers one of these pillars, you are likely to be selected:
- Java & AI Engineering: LangChain4j, Spring AI, Semantic Kernel, Vector Databases, LLM Orchestration on the JVM.
- Next-Gen Frameworks: Spring Boot 3+, Quarkus, Micronaut, Helidon.
- Platform Engineering: Kubernetes, Docker, Buildpacks, Skaffold.
- Performance: GraalVM Native Image, Project CRaC, Virtual Threads (Loom).
- Architecture: Microservices, Serverless, Event-Driven (Kafka/Pulsar).
- Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
