🌏 About Kubernetes Community Days (KCD) Kuala Lumpur 2026

KCD Kuala Lumpur 2026 is a community-driven event that brings together cloud native enthusiasts, practitioners, and experts from across Malaysia, APAC region and all over the world. As part of the global Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) initiative, KCD Kuala Lumpur serves as a platform to learn, collaborate and celebrate all things Kubernetes and cloud native.

We’re organizing the event to feature in-depth sessions, hands-on workshops, technical deep dives, and community activities designed to inspire both beginners and seasoned professionals. Whether you’re exploring your first Kubernetes deployment or managing large-scale production clusters, KCD Kuala Lumpur 2026 aims to create meaningful conversations and practical learning experiences that everyone can take home.

This event is proudly organized by local community leaders from Cloud Native Kuala Lumpur who are passionate about building a stronger cloud native ecosystem in Malaysia. Expect a vibrant mix of technical talks, real-world case studies, networking opportunities, panel discussions, and live demos — all shaped by the community, for the community.

Join us in Kuala Lumpur as we connect, share knowledge, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the cloud native and open source world.

Let’s grow the ecosystem, elevate local talent and drive innovation together at KCD Kuala Lumpur 2026!

đź“© Submission Guidelines

To help us curate a diverse and high-quality program for KCD Kuala Lumpur, please keep the following in mind when submitting your proposal:

  • Code of Conduct
All speakers are required to adhere to CNCF's Code of Conduct
  • Avoid AI slop
Avoid submitting low-effort, AI-generated proposals. While we don't ban the use of AI, especially since it can be a helpful tool for non-native English speakers, we strongly discourage submissions that appear to be low-quality or clearly AI-generated slop
  • Maximum of 3 submissions per speaker
You may propose up to three different sessions. This allows flexibility while ensuring fairness in the review process
  • Choose the appropriate session type and category
Please select the format that best fits your content (refer to Session Type page). Clear session types make it easier for our committee to evaluate your proposal. You should also select the correct content category as listed in Session Category page
  • Panel sessions require diversity
For panel discussions, we prioritize diverse representation across backgrounds, companies, experience levels, and gender to ensure a richer, more balanced conversation
  • Travel support depends on budget
Accommodation or flight reimbursement for speakers may be available, subject to our event budget. We will update the details later on.
  • Avoid sales pitch
Avoid sales or marketing pitches and discussing unlicensed or potentially closed-source technologies when preparing your proposal; these talks are almost always rejected due to the fact that they take away from the integrity of our event. Make sure your content is open source and vendor neutral
  • Attach slides (optional)
Attach slides with your submission as that could help us better understand your session. This is optional, but we highly encourage you to upload the slides

Join us in celebrating the power of the cloud native and open source ecosystem, and help us inspire and drive innovation across the community in Kuala Lumpur and beyond!
