Welcome to KCD Panama 2026!

The Cloud Native Community Group Panama is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for professionals, students, and organizations to shine in 2026!

KCD Panama 2026 is the place where the community comes alive. We are bringing together hundreds of passionate IT professionals, executives, cloud operators, and tech providers to explore the future of Kubernetes and the Cloud Native ecosystem.

This is your stage. Make your voice heard.

Calling All Local & First-Time Speakers!

Are you new to public speaking? We’ve got your back. Our mission is to champion the growth of local talent in Panama. You don't need to be a Chief Architect or a 20-year industry veteran to submit a proposal. If you have a story to tell, we want to hear it.

We are committed to elevating diverse voices and fresh perspectives. To ensure you succeed, we offer a dedicated mentorship program for all first-time speakers, including:

  • Storytelling Support: We help you structure your narrative and define clear educational goals.
  •  Slide Design: Guidance on creating effective, professional, and clear visual aids.
  • Stage Presence: Rehearsal sessions and tips to polish your delivery and boost your confidence.

Don't let experience hold you back. Submit your proposal and let's build this event together!

FOR THE 2026 EDITION, WE ARE ACCEPTING PROPOSALS IN THREE FORMATS:

1. TECHNICAL TALKS (30 Minutes): Talks are the backbone of our event and offer the opportunity to deep-dive into specific topics.

  • Duration: 25 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A.
  • Practical Focus: We require a practical component (live demo, code walkthrough, or real-world architecture examples). We may request reference material (e.g., a GitHub Repo) during evaluation.
  • Content: We love case studies and end-user stories that showcase lessons learned in production.

2. WORKSHOPS & TUTORIALS (1.5 Hour): Interactive, long-format sessions designed for hands-on learning and immersion.

  • Slots: Limited availability (Morning and Afternoon sessions).
  • Capacity: Max 30 participants per workshop to ensure quality interaction.

3. LIGHTNING TALKS (15 Minutes): Short, high-impact presentations. Perfect for sharing a brilliant idea, a quick war story, or a brief experience without the pressure of a full session.

GUIDELINES FOR A SUCCESSFUL PROPOSAL

  • Key Takeaways: What will the audience learn? Be specific.
  • Your Story: Why are you the right person to give this talk? You have a unique perspective—tell it!
  • Context: Explain how your talk fits into the ecosystem of KCD Panama 2026.
  • Balance: We want community-focused content (OSS projects) and enterprise use cases.

IMPORTANT: WHAT TO AVOID

To maintain the integrity of the event, please avoid the following (these are often rejected):

  • Sales or Marketing Pitches: Keep it educational, not commercial.
  • Ambiguous Licensing: Technologies must be clearly open or accessible.
  • Repeated Content: Talks previously presented at other conferences.

There are plenty of ways to present projects without focusing on company-specific sales initiatives. Let's give space to the community!
