Thank you for your interest in presenting at Microsoft Community Day Knoxville (#KnoxvilleM365)!    We are planning an event filled with fun, education, socializing, and a few other surprises that are sure to make M365Knoxville an event to remember!

* This is an in-person event - speakers must be in-person at the event.

Speaker submissions are due no later than Dec 17, 2024 at 11:59 EST.

What Kind of Sessions Do We Need?
Track Examples:
  • Copilot and AI
  • Collaboration and Apps: SharePoint, Teams, Viva, Intranet, Forms...
  • Security and Administration: Purview, Intune, Defender and Sentinel....
  • Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio
  • Business Intelligence: Power BI, Fabric, Synapse, and other business intelligence topics...
  • Professional Development

Professional Development sessions and panel or group sessions giving attendees the opportunity to interact with presenters.  Technical presentations showing code examples and demos are always great, but we’re often asked for sessions targeted at end-users and business decision makers which help them learn how to use Microsoft 365 in creative ways, how things work (and don’t work), and whatever else they need to know to get the most out of Microsoft 365 within their organization. Sessions like “How [My Company] Solved [Something] Using SharePoint” tend to be very popular.

About the event
This is our 3rd event! Find more information here - visit https://knoxvillem365.com for more information about our community and our previous event.

How Much Time Will I Have to Present?
  • Session (50mins including Q&A) – On a range of different technologies, practices and methodologies.
  • Workshops – Presentation, technical demonstration or discussion, all with an interactive element for participants
  • Lightening Sessions (15min) - designed for speakers to give a quickfire view of a particular subject

How Can I Improve My Chances of Being Selected?
First and foremost, think of your audience. You are writing your session titles and abstracts for the event attendees not for the people picking sessions. What you enter on the speaker submission form will be the exact text included on the printed program and schedule.
Submit more than one session! Even the best speakers might not be selected if they submit only one or two sessions. Between limitations in tracks and schedule, there are many good sessions that we simply cannot accept.

Important notes
  • Speakers and sponsors are distinctly different.  All sponsorships require a signed sponsor agreement.  We love speakers and sponsors - custom options are available if a package doesn't work.
  • No vendor sessions. Many of our speakers sell products or services in the same area they’re speaking about. Abstracts focused on promoting or selling product or services will not be selected.
When is the Latest I Can Submit a Session?
#Knoxville 2025 Call for Speakers will close on Dec 17, 2024 at 11:59 EST.

Speaker Expenses
All travel expenses will be the responsibility of the speaker. There will be a speaker dinner to celebrate your participation in the event!
