From startups serving millions of users to enterprises modernizing critical infrastructure, African engineers, platform teams, open source contributors, and technology leaders are shaping the future of cloud native technology in unique and impactful ways.

KCD Nigeria 2026 brings together the Kubernetes and Cloud Native community for a day of learning, collaboration, and connection centered on this year's theme: "Telling the African Cloud Native Story"

As the largest CNCF community event in Nigeria, KCD Nigeria 2026 aims to amplify African voices and celebrate local innovation. This year's event will spotlight the people, projects, innovations, and challenges that define cloud native adoption across Africa.  

Join us as we showcase how Africa is not just adopting cloud-native technologies but also actively contributing to and shaping their future.

This year, we'll explore how organizations are leveraging Kubernetes, platform engineering, AI, security, observability, DevOps, open source, and cloud technologies to solve real-world problems and create lasting impact in local and global markets.

Do you have a story, an architectural breakdown, a case study, or a lesson learned? We want you on our stage!

Track Categories:

We're looking for talks that showcase real-world experiences, technical deep dives, lessons learned, successes, failures, and innovations from practitioners building cloud-native solutions across Africa and beyond.

This could include:

1. Kubernetes & Cloud Native Platforms: Core Kubernetes, container runtimes, networking, storage, multi-cluster management, and scaling infrastructure.

2. Platform Engineering & Developer Experience: Building internal developer platforms (IDPs), improving dev workflows, automation, and making life easier for engineering teams.

3. AI Infrastructure & Cloud Native AI: Running LLMs, machine learning pipelines, and AI workloads on Kubernetes. 

4. Security & Resilience: Cloud-native security, zero trust, compliance, backup/recovery, and keeping systems secure and resilient.

5. Observability, SRE & Operations: Monitoring, logging, tracing, and site reliability engineering.

6. Open Source & Community: Contributing to upstream projects, building local tech communities, open-source governance, and talent development in Africa.
