KyvernoCon Virtual 2025 is an opportunity for our global community to share, connect, and join in the celebration of Kyverno by expanding access to policy-as-code conversations through a fully virtual, globally accessible event.

With a mix of thought leadership, hands-on sessions, and success stories, this event will showcase how Kyverno enables teams to scale policy management, enhance platform security, and improve developer experiences. The virtual setting is ideal for connecting a broader global audience and encouraging participation from new users and contributors.

For newcomers and evaluators, this track will offer tutorials, onboarding guides, and beginner-friendly use cases.

  • Introduction to policies in Kubernetes
  • Writing your first Kyverno policy
  • Policy testing and validation workflows

2. Security & Compliance with Policy as Code

Focused on use cases for security and compliance teams.

  • Using Kyverno for Kubernetes hardening
  • Automating security checks in CI/CD
  • Mapping Kyverno policies to industry compliance frameworks

3. Developer Enablement & Platform Experience

A track for platform engineers building IDPs and self-service tooling.

  • Using Kyverno to standardize workloads
  • Integrating Kyverno with developer portals like Backstage
  • Policy-driven scaffolding and controls for developers

4. Kyverno Integrations and Advanced Use Cases

Best for experienced users and contributors.

  • Kyverno + Open Policy Agent: when to use which tool
  • Leveraging external data sources and variables
  • Performance tuning and scaling Kyverno in large clusters


Submission Types:

  • Solo Presentation: 25 minutes, 1 speaker presenting on a topic
  • Dual Presentation: 25 minutes, 2 speakers presenting on a topic
  • Panel Discussion: 25 minutes of discussion amongst 3 to 5 speakers
  • Lightning Talk: A brief 10-minute presentation, maximum of 1 speaker
