The Lean Agile KC conference includes local, regional and national speakers sharing their Lean and Agile knowledge and experience.
This year we will have a two day event. It will include a mix of traditional sessions (60 minute), workshops (60 minutes, and deep dives (120 minutes). An Open Space will run concurrently.
We always have great attendance at the Happy Hour - maybe because of the great food and drink, or the continuation of discussions and agile games.
THE BENEFITS
THE PROCESS
Who is the audience?
The majority of our audience is from the greater Kansas City area, although we have had many attendees from locations outside of Missouri/Kansas. The attendees ranges from beginner to experienced, and across all the roles impacted by agility.
What topics are we looking for?
Please submit anything Agile or Lean related. Feel free to create an idea of your own, but here are some suggested categories: Agile Bootcamp, Collaboration/Culture/Teams, Coaching/Mentoring, Development Practices and Craftsmanship, DevOps, Enterprise Agile, Management/Leaderships, Metrics/Analytics, Project/Program/Portfolio Management, Testing and Quality, User Experience.
Who should submit?
You! LAKC looks for diversity in speakers. We seek to have a mix of local, regional and national speakers to provide different perspectives. We also try to look for a mix of seasoned speakers and to include new voices. If you are interested in speaking, but have not done so at this type of conference, we may be able to find a mentor for you - email info@leanagilekc.org for more information.
What information are we looking for on the submission?
Please check out this example of a submission to the Agile 2016 conference. It provides very good insight into the real essence of the talk, which is invaluable to the selection committee. (Sample Submission)
In "Notes to Organizers", please be sure to include anything that can help us understand you and your submission better. Is this the first time giving this talk? Where have you spoken? The more details here the better. No worries if you have never spoken at a conference, we encourage that too!
PRIMARY SPEAKER ONLY: Conference Fee Covered. OUT OF TOWN: Stipend may be available, and will be clearly articulated once asked to join the program.
