LocoMocoSec is a Hawaiʻi-based security conference and our motto is “one track, lots of flavor.” We believe that the single track format helps everyone have a similar experience, and allows us to select the highest quality presentations.

All presentations are 35 minutes long including any optional time for questions.

We’re looking for talented builders and defenders from a diverse set of backgrounds to help us create an amazing educational environment for our attendees. We’re trying to create a community-oriented and inclusive conference for people that want to move the security industry forward, make connections, and learn from others.

This year we're focusing on engineering-aligned speakers that have built something impactful. This could be a core web technology, something that made your users safer, or something that helped your company defend itself. We're less focused on career advice, industry trends, non-engineering processes, and high-level overviews. No vendor pitches!

These examples are not meant to be exhaustive, but submissions should be related to product/application/cloud security, or security engineering.

• Building human-friendly security features
• Improvements from multi-year security efforts
• Creating a “paved road” for security
• Authentication/Authorization and related technologies
• Modern security tooling
• Secure access to cloud environments for developers
• Tooling to support safe access to customer data
• Security features of modern development languages/frameworks or the web
• Tooling built to protect against software supply chain/OSS security issues
• Appropriate defensive-focused uses of AI
