LocoMocoSec is a Hawai’i-based product security conference taking place on June 29th and 30th, 2022 at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. The conference is preceded by two days of training which are available for purchase. For more information about the conference, please visit our website.

Our motto is “one track, lots of flavor.” We believe that the single track format helps everyone have a similar experience, and allows us to select the highest quality presentations so that every session is engaging.

We’re looking for talented builders and defenders from a diverse set of backgrounds to help us create an amazing educational environment for our attendees. We’re trying to create a community oriented and inclusive conference for forward thinking people that want to move the product security industry forward, make connections, and learn from others.

Below are a list of potential topics and technologies to help you get started thinking about ideas. It is by no means meant to be exhaustive, but submissions should be related to product, application, or cloud security. You may also want to check out last year’s schedule for inspiration. Presentations are 40 minutes long including any optional time for questions.

  • Managing secrets (API keys, 3rd party creds, etc)
  • Embedding security within engineering processes
  • Modern security tooling
  • Cloud infrastructure technologies
  • Security features of modern development languages/frameworks
  • Developer security training
  • Security in the SDLC
  • Software supply chain/OSS security issues
  • Vulnerability management
  • Creating a “paved road” for security
  • Authentication/Authorization and related technologies
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • A deep dive into a vulnerability class and how to prevent it

An excellent group of speakers is a requirement to deliver a great conference to attendees. Thank you so much for considering LocoMocoSec as we know there are many conferences to consider submitting to. Good luck on your submission, hope to see you in May. Mahalo!
