About the Event
We are back in person for the first time in many years, so we are excited to bring this back to the Valley of the Sun! The venue is the Microsoft Corporate Office in Tempe located at 60 E Rio Salado Pkwy #1200, Tempe, AZ 85281.
What Kind of Sessions Do We Need?
Every event needs a variety of topics to attract a diverse audience. Be creative! Most of all, speak about what you are passionate about because that's what really sets your content apart from the rest.
Track Examples:
• Copilot and AI: Copilot readiness, Copilot adoption & best practices, etc…
• Collaboration and Apps: SharePoint, Teams, Viva, Intranet, Forms...
• Security and Administration: Purview, Intune, Defender, and Sentinel...
• Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio
• Business Intelligence: Power BI, Fabric, Synapse, and other business intelligence topics...
• Professional Development: Sessions, panels, or group sessions giving attendees the opportunity to interact with presenters.
Technical presentations showing code examples and demos are always great, but organizers are often asked for sessions targeted at end-users and business decision-makers. These sessions help them learn how to use Microsoft 365 in creative ways, how things work (and don’t work), and whatever else they need to know to get the most out of Microsoft 365 within their organization.
How Much Time Will I Have to Present?
All sessions will be 50 minutes, including time for Q&A. There will be a 10-minute break between sessions, so please plan your content accordingly. Remember that there may be a speaker following your session who needs to get set up.
Session Types
• Session: A topic focused on various technologies, practices, and methodologies.
• Panel Discussion: Include your fabulous colleagues for an interactive session on the topics you are passionate about.
• AMA: We are potentially trying something new. Some smaller rooms might be perfect for an Ask Me Anything session. Grab the opportunity to speak 1-to-1 or in small groups of attendees and answer their questions. (This could potentially be a follow-up from your presentation)
How Can I Improve My Chances of Being Selected?
First and foremost, consider your audience. You are writing your session titles and abstracts for the event attendees, not for the people picking sessions. What you enter on the speaker submission form will be the exact text included on the event schedule, so be sure to use proper grammar, punctuation, and language that will entice your audience to attend! Make it easy for us to market and promote your sessions on social media.
Be unique! Submit more than one session! Even the best speakers might not be selected if they submit only one or two sessions. Between limitations in tracks and schedules, there are many good sessions that we simply cannot accept.
Important Notes
Speakers and sponsors are distinctly different and will be provided with different opportunities.
• Speaker Sessions—Many of our speakers sell products or services in the same area they’re speaking about. Abstracts focused on promoting or selling products or services will not be selected.
• Sponsor Sessions—All sponsorships require a signed sponsor agreement. We love speakers and sponsors. If you would like to promote a product or service in your session, feel free to discuss potential opportunities with our organizers.
When is the Latest I Can Submit a Session?
Call for Speakers will close on Dec 2, 2024 at 11:59 EST.
Travel and Lodging
Speaker Expenses
All travel expenses will be the responsibility of the speaker. There will be a speaker dinner to celebrate your participation in the event!
Lodging Options
We will be working to obtain a room block in a nearby hotel, so if you are selected, watch for details.
Make it a Bizcation!
Are you looking to thaw out in those cold winter months? Build in a couple of days and soak up that Arizona sun. We are looking into doing some post-event activities for speakers who would like to stay and play!
