Do you want to be a speaker? Do you have an exciting topic, idea or experience you would like to present at MakeIT 2024? Then we look forward to your submission!

MakeIT 2024 / JCON OpenBlend 2024

Oracle, Open-source and Java-focused, in-person community event is a three day event held at Convection Centre Portus in Portorož, Slovenia. 

The schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday, May 29th, 10:00h - 18:00h: Workshop Day (followed by Speaker Dinner)
• Thursday, May 30th, 09:00h - 18:00h: Conference Day
• Friday, May 31st, 09:00h - 17:00h: Conference Day

What we are looking for

We accept submissions for 45 minutes standard conference sessions (Please set some time aside for Q&A and participant interaction within your 45 minutes. We need a 10 minutes break between sessions to set up the next speaker properly.) and 2 to 4-hour hands-on workshops (the number and length of breaks are determined by the speaker).

You can make different proposals on different topics and thus submit several presentations. 

Submit relevant topics: You are going to discuss things that participants of the conference find useful not only yesterday but also today and in the future. Does this subject matter have broad appeal and application? 

We look for practical applicability: The content is important from a practical point of view and you not only cover the existing problems / solutions, but also share your experience.

Speakers at MakeIT 2024 / JCON OpenBlend Slovenia can look forward to the following benefits:

• Conference Pass: All accepted speakers receive a complimentary three-day pass to MakeIT 2024, including access to the May 29th workshop day. The pass is not transferable.
