🚀 Call for Speakers: Microsoft Fabric User Group Pune

The Microsoft Fabric User Group Pune has officially launched, and we are on a mission to build a vibrant, knowledge-sharing community!


While our leadership team is kicking things off with initial sessions, we want you to take the stage. This group belongs to the community, and we need diverse voices, fresh perspectives, and passionate speakers to help us grow.


Whether you are a seasoned MVP, a working professional, or an enthusiastic beginner looking to deliver your very first presentation, our podium is open to you.


📚 What We Are Looking For

We are seeking sessions across a wide range of complexities—from absolute beginner "101" introductions to deep-dive technical architecture. If it helps the community learn, we want to hear it!


Our core focus areas include:


Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Synapse Data Engineering, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, Activator, etc.


Power BI: Data modeling, DAX, visualization best practices, governance, and integration.


Azure Data Ecosystem: Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and how they bridge into the modern data stack.


⏱️ Session Formats

Lightning Talks: 15–20 minutes (Perfect for quick tips, tool demos, or first-time speakers!)


Full Sessions: 30–60 minutes (Ideal for deep dives, case studies, or end-to-end tutorials)

🌐 Online Event Terms & Speaker Guidelines

By submitting a session to the Microsoft Fabric User Group Pune online events, you agree to the following conditions:


1. Delivery Format & Technical Requirements

Platform: All sessions are hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams / Zoom/Gmeet/Meetup.


Equipment: Speakers are responsible for having a stable internet connection, a clear microphone, and a functioning webcam. We highly encourage keeping your camera on during the presentation to better engage with the online audience.


Tech Check: First-time speakers or anyone wanting to test their setup can request a brief 10-minute tech check with the group organizers a few days prior to the event.


2. Timezone Integrity

Standard Time: All event schedules are planned and executed in Indian Standard Time (IST / UTC+5:30).


Availability: Please ensure you calculate your local time accurately before confirming your availability for a scheduled slot.


3. Recording and Content Distribution

Session Recording: To help community members who cannot attend live, sessions will be recorded. By submitting, you grant permission to record your session (audio, video, and shared screen).


Platform Publishing: The recorded sessions may be uploaded to our official community channels (such as YouTube) or shared within the user group platform.


Slide Sharing: We highly encourage speakers to share a PDF version of their slides or links to GitHub repositories (for code/Power BI reports) with the community after the event.


4. Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment. All speakers must adhere to professional conduct. Content must be respectful and free of discriminatory language, harassment, or purely commercial/sales-pitch marketing.


5. Speaker Support & Mentorship

First-Time Speakers Welcomed: We actively encourage community members to make this their first speaking engagement! If your session is accepted and you need assistance refining your slides, practicing your pacing, or configuring your demo, our user group leaders will provide 1-on-1 mentorship.
