Many people attend events and look at those on stage wondering how to get there, or who are interested in speaking but don't know how to get started - or whether they even have something valuable to share! We firmly believe that everyone has a story - everyone has a different perspective, different experiences, different learnings, and can contribute their own story in a way that will be valuable to someone out there.
To help those at the start of their journey, we're running a full day workshop aimed at brand new speakers, or those who are just getting started but are still a bit unsure how to really proceed.
This event is run for the community, by passionate members of the Microsoft tech community.
We're looking for pre-recorded video content from existing experienced public speakers.
Selected video content will be used throughout the in-person workshop, and also uploaded to the community and event tenant for attendees to view afterwards, as well as our YouTube channel. A small number of videos may also be published on our social channels to promote the event both before and after the in-person workshop.
Video content should be between 2-5 minutes long.
Once content has been reviewed and your session accepted, and you have submitted your video, you are agreeing to your video being shared with attendees.
We're aware that people might not talk as openly about topics like imposter syndrome, dealing with rejection etc if you are worried that this will be posted openly on the internet, so we do want to be sensitive to this fact - however, it would be great to make these valuable videos available to a wider audience.
If you are happy for your content to be used on our social media channels, please ensure that you tick the check box on each session submission.
