General information

MiXiT is an international event, and we welcome talks in both French and English.

We accept submissions on four themes:

• Tech: Dive into a tech subject
• Team: Work together
• Ethics: Connect IT & moral criteria
• Aliens: Get off the beaten tracks

Three types of sessions are available:

• Conferences: 45 minutes, including Q&A
• Lightnings: 20 minutes, including Q&A
• Workshops: 110 minutes.

We accept a maximum of 2 speakers per session, and 2 submissions per speaker.

We expect all participants, including speakers, to adhere to our Code of Conduct, which is built on a simple principle: creating a safe and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Our audience is mainly developers, product managers, and Scrum masters. They come to MiXiT for technical insights and to explore broader topics like ethics, diversity, art, astrophysics, etc. Check out our previous editions to get an idea of what we’re looking for.

Support diversity

We’re committed to creating a diverse speaker panel that reflects the society we live in. To help us achieve this, we’ve partnered with Craft Records to review abstracts from underrepresented minorities in IT. Their team will review the first 30 abstracts we receive.

If you identify as part of an underrepresented minority, you can send your abstract to craftsrecords@gmail.com with [CFP MIXIT] in the title for review before submitting it (limit one abstract per person). If you’d like to support our efforts and enable us to review more abstracts, please get in touch with them at the same address.

Submission Recommendations

Before submitting to the CFP, please consider the following:

• We’re looking for practical and hands-on topics that our audience can apply in their daily work. We want to provide concrete tools and ideas that can be implemented after the conference.
• Ideally, an abstract should be no more than two paragraphs and include the key takeaways for the audience.
• If you’d like to provide more details, such as a slide deck or recordings of previous sessions, feel free to do so in the additional notes section.
• Please submit your final version, rather than a draft you plan to edit later. Submissions are reviewed as they’re received, and due to the high volume of submissions, there’s little chance of a second review.
• We understand that you may want to use AI for a final review, but we kindly ask that you don’t use it to generate the entire abstract. We want to hear from you, not from an LLM model ;)
• When submitting, please use your real name (Firstname Lastname, with only the first letter capitalized) unless you have a solid reason to use a pseudonym, in which case please explain.
• For French speakers: make sure you’re available on the date, as MiXiT 2026 will take place during school holidays.
• If you plan to present your session in French, please provide a French abstract and title.

Speaker Support and Reimbursement

As a non-profit organization, MiXiT has a limited budget, and unfortunately, we cannot cover all expenses for our speakers. However, we are able to offer a stipend of €220 per speaker to help with costs.

Additionally, we want to ensure that all speakers feel supported and included. If you have specific needs or requirements, such as pregnancy or disability-related expenses, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us so we can discuss possible arrangements.

Speakers not sponsored by their company can have expenses reimbursed after the conference, up to a maximum of €220 per speaker. We prioritize EMEA speakers due to ecological considerations. Non-EMEA speakers are welcome if they have other European commitments during this period.
