Speaker Guidelines and Obligations 

CFP Timeline:

  • Call For Papers (CFP) Opens: June 12th
  • CFP Closes: Extended to July 31
  • Notifications of submission status: August 4
  • Mobile DevOps Summit: October 4-5

We are looking for industry experts and impactful practitioners to share recent mobile app projects with focus on either of these topics:

  • DevEx: Learn about the latest trends, tools, and techniques for developing high-quality mobile apps and enhancing developer productivity and experience.
  • Mobile CI/CD: Discover how to automate your app development pipeline to speed up your time to market and improve the quality of your code.
  • Test Automation: Learn how to automate your mobile app testing process to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
  • Mobile DevOps at Scale: Explore the intersection of DevOps and mobile app development, and learn how to implement DevOps practices to build scalable and reliable mobile apps.
  • Security: Understand the unique security challenges of mobile apps and how to implement effective security measures like DevSecOps to protect your apps and users.
  • Analytics: Learn how to leverage mobile analytics to gain insights into your app usage and user behavior, and use that information to improve your app's performance and ROI.
  • UX: Discover the latest trends and techniques in mobile UX, and learn how to create engaging and intuitive mobile app experiences.
  • Performance Optimization: Learn how to optimize your app's performance to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently on all devices.
  • Infrastructure & Architecture: Understand the latests trends in mobile architecture patterns, designing for scalability, and building robust microservices architecture for mobile apps.
  • AIOps: Explore ways in which AIOps enables Mobile DevOps teams to quickly identify and address issues affecting application performance and user experience, to enhance monitoring, error detection, and process efficiency.

The primary language of this event is English.

What to submit:

Share your experiences, best practices, educate the community about an issue, or generate interest in a project. Please submit sessions on recent projects that you’ve been working on in the past 6-12 months.

What not to submit:

Sessions may mention software, tools, etc. as part of the overall topic, but please avoid product or services pitches. Product marketing or sales pitch submissions from vendors will not be accepted. 

Please make sure you do not discuss any company confidential material, trade secrets or other confidential materials. Please check with your legal and marketing departments before submitting and get all necessary approvals.

Accepted applications:

You will be notified by Bitrise, if you are accepted as a speaker of the Mobile DevOps Summit (the “Event”). Please note that, Bitrise may select speakers for the Event at its sole discretion, and Bitrise is under no obligation to determine which speaker applications to accept.

Session Types*

  • Technical Breakout Sessions | 25 mins (solo or co-presented technical deep dive or case study presentations)
  • Fireside Chats | 25 mins (interview style conversation between a moderator and an expert)
  • Panel Discussions | 45-55 mins (moderated expert discussions on best practices, lessons learned, and other insights with dedicated Q&A provided for the audience) 
  • Hands-on Workshops | 55 mins (in-depth live workshops on tips, tricks and best practices)

*Please note, all sessions apart from workshops will be added to October 4th Wednesday.

Live or Pre-Recorded Sessions

Speakers will have the option to present live or pre-record their sessions. Pre-recorded sessions will be broadcasted at the scheduled date and time and speakers must be online to answer questions live in the chat - or you may go "live" and answer questions after the session has ended. (Please note, workshops cannot be pre-recorded and must be presented live.) [privacy notice].

Distributing the Session

All accepted sessions will be broadcast to the public audience and recorded and posted on the Bitrise channels following the Event. Speakers’ Content

Speaker agrees that Bitrise may use speaker’s presentation, speaker’s slides, the pre-recorded speaker’s presentation, recordings of the Event and any materials provided by the speaker in connection with the Event (“Speakers’ Content“) without compensation or obligation to speaker. Speaker hereby grants to Bitrise a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable, and sub-licensable license to use, copy, modify, adapt, prepare derivative works from, distribute, publish, perform, broadcast and display or otherwise use Speakers’ Content in all media formats and channels now known or later developed. Speaker irrevocably waives any claims and assertions of moral rights or attribution with respect to Speakers’ Content.

Speaker hereby warrants and undertakes, that

  • the Speakers’ Content do not infringe any rights, including intellectual property rights, ownership rights, data protection rights, consumer rights of any third-party;
  • speaker obtained all necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions in relation to the Speakers’ Content.

Speaker shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bitrise in respect of all damages and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising directly from a third-party claim against Bitrise involving claims that the Speakers’ Content infringes any breach of warranties mentioned herein.

Event Platform and Setup

This Event will be hosted on Bizzabo. Accepted speakers will receive instructions on how to login to the speaker portal, upload presentation materials, and will be offered a pre-event tech run-through session. A moderator from Bitrise will be present at every session to support the speakers and help with any tech issues, audience questions, etc.
